I first met Sherman sometime is the fall of 1971. He and my husband, Rich Johnson, were studying English literature with the same professor, whose name I forget. I loved Sherman. He was funny and smart and didn’t give me too much shit for being less than smart. He made fun of my tarot reading skills and I still loved him.
We soon became good friends with Sherman and his wife Julie. They were some of the best friends I ever had and I have so many fond memories of them and Megan and Ross. It is one of my regrets that I lost contact with them and it has been years since I have seen any of them.
I’m very sad about the passing of Sherman. He was such a fun person, good cook, excellent poet (although I did not know that for a very long time), great dad and friend.
Rest in peace dear Sherman.
