We were lucky enough to spend an entire summer vacation at the Woo’s house. Sherman came up with his own summer camp to keep us entertained. I called it The Bard, Baselines, and Bytes. Sherman designed a robust curriculum that any fancy summer camp would envy. It was based on his beloved interests Shakespeare, tennis, and computer science. So each day we did tennis in the morning followed by academic and philosophical discussions all afternoon. We had spirited debates, presentations and even guest speakers from his talented intellectual friends. To this day I still credit Sherman for my ability to debate and tenacity. Thanks for giving me such a wonderful foundation for my academic career. If it wasn’t for Sherman I never would have finished my PhD or learned how to question assumptions and think critically. Love you Sherman and much love and appreciation to all the Woos who adopted me as their own. You will be missed but I know you will be enjoying your next iteration. Love, Nonah
