Sherman’s toast to Krissy and Rosten on their wedding day struck me at the time as being bold and wise and prophetic. He hoped in their life together they would experience the ultimate fulfillment of children and family. And I seem to remember he said it with some urgency! Reading here his poems to Ida and Unni, his toast and his wisdom prevailed. It is wonderful to see the photos of Rosten and Krissy, Unni, Ida, Megan, Sherm and Julie enjoying together that beauty and goodness he valued. To the whole warm, hospitable and generous Woo/Rosten family, I am sorry for your loss, and ours. I would have loved another evening to talk with Sherman about life and times.
