Those of us lucky enough to have known him will so miss the gift that was Sherman.  Being around Sherman was to be continually reminded to see life as a collection of marvelous challenges to be analyzed and explored.  No solution? Not to worry. Move on.  (He also sorted his challenges into those worth his time and others, like enrolling in Medicare, not so much.  There are after all only so many hours in the day.  Who cannot love a guy who chooses art, science and literature, and time with friends over paying taxes and enrolling in Medicare!)  Whether baking or playing the keyboard or whatever else in the world caught his attention, he was an insatiably curious explorer.  Life as sympathetic questioning.  Life as surprise.  Life as humility.  Life as wonder.  Sherman was a gift. – Doug and Ann Jones
